Casiokids will represent Norway at a Nordic electronica showcase in Tokyo in November.

Get ready for Hokuo Muisic Night on November 11th in Tokyo, Japan! Four Nordic electronic acts will perform showcases during this event, which is promoted by one of Japan's largest promoters, Creativeman. The acts are Casiokids (NO), Feldberg (IS), Reptile & Retards (DK) and LCMDF (FI). The event is supported by NOMEX (Nordic Music Export Offices).

After more than 500 shows in 28 countries over the last 3 years, Norwegian electro-pop band Casiokids finally find their way to the land of the rising sun. The band's latest album 'Aabenbaringen over aaskammen' was released in Japan on Flake Records on October 18th, at the same time as the Norwegian and North American releases, and Casiokids will play 5 shows in Japan in support of the album.

- With a population of 128 million, and a longstanding interest in Scandinavian music, we feel sure that Japan can be an important supplementary market for the band, opening up more opportunities in South East Asia, as well as bridging the gap between Europe and Australia, a market Casiokids have already entered with some success, says Casiokids manager Chris Wareing.

To celebrate their Japanese debut the band have recorded a tribute to the most selling Japanese song of all time - Sukiyaki by Kyo Sakamoto - which sold 13 million copies worldwide and was #1 on the US Billboard chart in 1963. You can watch the video here:
