Music Norway director appointed

Kathrine Synnes Finnskog is appointed director of Music Norway.

Music Norway is the result of the merger between Music Export Norway (MEN) and Music Information Centre Norway (MIC). The new organization is responsible for promotion of Norwegian music abroad and supports exporters of Norwegian music in all genres and formats. 

Kathrine Synnes Finnskog has been appointed director, and she will join the company in January.

- Kathrine Synnes Finnskog has a strong background and an extensive network in the music industry. The Board is  delighted that she accepted the task, and we look forward to her joining the team, says Chairman Leif Holst Jensen.

- We did an extensive search and recruitment process with many interesting candidates. We have chosen to emphasize Kathrine's professional experience and enthusiasm for the task, and we feel confident that Music Norway is in good hands, continues the Jensen.

Kathrine Synnes Finnskog has among other things worked as manager for a wide range of Norwegian artists.

- I am very happy for the confidence. We have good resources, expertise and a desire to create an organization that will be important for the Norwegian music industry. We have many challenges, but mostly opportunities, comments Synnes Finnskog.
