Business Development Program in Berlin

by Webmaster, 12.09.2011

Music Export Norway presents a Business Development Program in Berlin autumn 2011.

We are proud to announce that the Music Export Norway Berlin office will arrange a Business Development Program (BDP) with focus on the German music market, autumn 2011.

After arranging a BDP in London autumn 2009 and spring 2010, the results were thoroughly satisfying and the feedback from the Norwegian industry participants throughout positive. The program also revealed a demand for an expertise on the German speaking music market, which resulted in the opening of a German office in October 2010.

In Berlin, the program will be designed based on the model of and feedback from the BDP in London.

What is a BDP?

The Business Development Program is an intensive course/seminar of in total 6 days, made for the Norwegian industry professionals already having experience within music export. The goal is to increase their competence and knowledge on the German music market, and it will function as a platform for the Norwegians to expand their network and increase business possibilities in Germany.

The Berlin Business Development Program module 1 (27-28 September) will take place in MFO's premises in Oslo, while module 2 (14-17 November) will take place at the Nordic embassies housings in Berlin-Tiergarten. The BDP will be coordinated by Music Export Norway’s Berlin office and moderated by music consultant Tessy Schulz, known from working with Norwegian artists with successful careers in Germany, such as Marit Larsen (ECHO award nomination, 250.000 sold albums) Maria Mena and Madcon.

At the Berlin BDP a special focus will be matchmaking and networking, organized by international matchmaking expert Rosita Kuerbis in collaboration with Initiative Musik. The BDP is supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Berlin.

The application deadline was earlier this month, and the list of participants will be made public shortly.
